The GreenHouse store opened in Ripon in March 2022 to provide beautiful home and garden supplies with a planet-friendly ethos - locally sourced and sustainable products to help you lead a more considered life.
Our mission is to make it easy to make the greener choice. From household chores to home styling, everyday needs to luxury treats, kitchens to bathrooms, gardens to allotments...
We offer a relaxing space to enjoy a cup of locally-roasted coffee, a refill service for when you're in a rush, and of course we're dog friendly.
Since opening we have been featured in Living North magazine, a blog on great refills stores in the UK by 91 magazine, and we've won a Small Business Sunday award - see News + Press for more
About Me
I'm Rebecca, founder of The GreenHouse, and also Head of Procurement, Chief Shelf-Stacker and Checkout Supervisor...
I grew up just outside Ripon and moved back here in 2020 after two decades of doing what parents call "proper jobs". I brought with me a Bearded Argentinian, who is now a Ripon Hornblower, and a cocker spaniel called Arthur. They are both beautiful inside and out; neither of them can be left alone around food.
The GreenHouse is my first retail venture having spent my working life so far in health and wellbeing, most recently leading the Cancer Intelligence unit at Cancer Research UK. I have three degrees, I can put Dr on my credit card and have Level 1 certification from the Academy of Cheese.
I am not an eco-warrior. I simply want to do what I can to protect and support our environment, and help others to do the same.
